We all have turbulent and challenging times in our lives. During these times support is important so we can learn new tools or be reminded about existing resources. It is important to feel that we are not alone. When we are in the middle of darkness, it can feel like there is no way out — we need to be reminded that there is light at the end of the tunnel. When we feel fear or anxiety, feelings cloud our mind, body and emotions. It is important to find ways to express our emotions, but not get overwhelmed by them. Sharing one’s feelings, finding ways to breathe more deeply, to relax the body and exercise are all good ways to release fear and anxiety. It’s also helpful to turn to the Higher Power with meditation, prayer or being in nature. In stressful times we can forget to nurture ourselves. We need reminders of ways to nurture ourselves and allow the seeds of hope to grow. Love is an important nutrient. Let’s express love to ourselves and others. Let’s stay connected to family, friends and professionals that can be there for you. Let the Light in.
